I want to know what sort of woodburner you're currently using.

This is the burner I use... I have only been burning for about 6 months..... I started off with just a craft burn found at any craft store.

Ah-hah. I've been burning for a fair-bit longer than you. But I am just now looking to turn it into something more than a hobby for friends and family. I am just now readying to to invest in a Burnmaster "Eager" - their version of what you've got with the dual-ports.

I am still using Walnut Hollow's craft-store burner. xD

how exactly do you do pyrography?

Pyrography is the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point.

wonderful texture! composition is fairly uniform, though- not really a focal point. i think a more drastic concentration of light/dark would have created more visual impact.

I love the way the right eye scrunches against the branch the cat is laying on. You did a great job with the texture of the fur. The wood (I'm assuming that's wood) doesn't look very realistic. Besides that, this is a great piece of artwork!
